Senior Warden's CornerTune in here for a monthly update from All Saints Episcopal Church Senior Warden. The Senior Warden's Corner is also published monthly in the Church newsletter, the Trumpet. April, 2011Dear Brothers & Sisters, Spring is here. I have been very happy to perform my duties as Senior Warden. Your Senior Warden is preparing for Easter. Flowers for the altar and flowers for our shut-ins which are delivered by members of The Men’s Fellowship, also preparation for All Saints Sunrise Service, Easter Morning. Ushers and Greeters are needed for the 8:00 am service. If you can help with this Ministry, please contact me. Indiantown has a great need for food. The food bank has become accustomed to Receiving food from The All Saints Family. There is always a new adventure at our wonderful old church. Something to repair, something to replace. I have a good family, good friends and good health. I am honored to serve with the loving family of All Saints. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you. Richard LaQuerre March, 2011Dear Sisters and Brothers, March is the beginning of the Lenten Season, a time for Prayer and reflection on the words of Jesus Christ. People of Indiantown have a great need for food. Your food donations are not sold! Lately the supply of food has not been the same. Please help this Ministry Last Month was busy. Security lights at both entrances were repaired, a broken pew was repaired. A water shut off valve was installed because of excessive water use. There were many other duties to be done as my charge as Senior Warden. Everything I do to the glory of God and Service to this wonderful Church family. May The Lord bless you and keep you. Richard LaQuerre February, 2011Dear Sisters and Brothers, Advent was a very busy season, preparing for Christmas:
I have been busy, but I am happy to be healthy and able to give my time and talents to my wonderful church. God Bless You. Richard LaQuerre Senior Warden January, 2011
December, 2010Dear Sisters & Brothers, I know we former northerners all miss the fall season with the beautiful changing of the leaves and the crispness in the air, but after living in Florida for so many years I have to tell you I enjoy Florida in the fall. The members of our congregation that live part of the year away from us finally come home and fill our church with their warm and loving spirits. The activity, in and around the church, surges as we all work in our different ministries preparing for Advent and Christmas. How blessed we are to be a part of this beautiful church and to work together to glorify God. May God shower you with His love, Richard LaQuerre Senior Warden November, 2010Dear Sisters& Brothers, It’s always something. I have discovered over the years of attending and volunteering at this fine old church there is always something to do, something to repair, or something to replace. You might think I would grow weary of taking care of all the many problems, but I know God has called me to this ministry. He has graciously given me a good family, good friends, good health, and this wonderful church, so if you should pass me on a given day as I scurry around doing repairs or getting bids from contractors, please know that I am happy doing this work for this loving church family and as my chosen ministry. May God shower you with His love, Richard LaQuerre October, 2010Dear Sisters & Brothers, It continues to be busy around All Saints. It seems every day brings your Senior Warden another adventure. I have sprayed for bees in the church tower and hornets in the office. I have replaced electrical cords and light bulbs. I have successfully requested and received quotes on replacing the air conditioner in the Thrift Shop, repairing the roof on the Thrift Shop and cleaning the carpets in Houg Hall. I must confess that all this activity keeps me running, but I am so happy to be healthy and back to giving my time and talents to this wonderful church. May God shower you with His love, Richard LaQuerre September, 2010Dear Sisters & Brothers, the last days of summer are upon us, the days seem to progressively get shorter and all of these changes remind us that very soon our northern brothers and sisters will soon be returning to us. We have been busy in their absence making sure that our physical plant
stays in good working order. Thank you to all the very many volunteers who contribute their
time, energy and thoughtful spirit to May God shower you with His love, Richard LaQuerre August, 2010Dear Sisters & Brothers, this has been a busy summer for everyone. Many of us have enjoyed trips and funfilled times with family and friends. Cathy and I have stayed close to home this summer as I continue to recover from my surgery, but each day I feel stronger and I find I have more energy than before I had the surgery. I am now back to walking our dog, Tipper, in the woods each morning and working on my boat as well as accomplishing those things on my daily “honey do” list. Everything at the church seems to be moving along well, but we do need some additional volunteers for Ushers and Greeters, especially at the 8:00 am service. Please contact me and let me know if you would like to be a part of this ministry. May God shower you with His love, Richard LaQuerre
